This program teaches you to be a real herbalist. You will learn in class, in the clinic, and with a mentor. You will also do some special projects. It takes 1,500 hours to finish and it is for you if you love herbs and want to help people with them.
Overview
The Traditional Herbalist program teaches you Western herbalism with a clear and precise system of herbal therapeutics. You will learn how to use herbs for healing in a holistic and person-centered way.
You will also learn about herbal materia medica, therapeutics, and related fields of study, as well as modern medical science. With that said, you will not have to memorize a lot of information, but you will learn how to integrate and apply it.
The program is based on Four Elements Herbal Therapy, a system that uses elements of European and Native American traditions. This system is not the same as the Greco-Roman system of energetics. It is a system that combines traditional and modern knowledge.
More importantly, we design the program to use herbals in a safe and effective way. It helps you to avoid trial and error and improve your clinical results. Many herbalists from other schools have taken this program to learn the benefits of this system and they have found that it has made their work better.
The program was created by herbalist the director and main teacher of Herbal Heritage. He has been practicing and researching herbalism for twenty-seven years. He has made this program different from other Western clinical herbalist programs.
Moreover, the program has two levels. You can take any workshops and courses you want. If you finish the Level 1 courses and meet the academic standards, you can enroll in the program and go to the Level 2 workshops.
